Dublin has the best pubs in the world (I feel qualified to say this because of how much I’ve travelled and how much I prioritise exploring the pub scene in each place I visit). Going into a Dublin pub is like being enveloped in a warm hug: the dark wooden panelling, the cold Guinness on tap, the friendly locals always up for a chat if you pull up a stool beside them. I guess it makes sense; the entire world has mimicked the traditional Irish pub style while in Dublin it’s the original, authentic thing.
One of the most famous pubs in Dublin is The Cobblestone in Smithfield which has traditional live music every night – I highly recommend popping in to watch the wonderful musicians play. I went in and took some photographs of them which I’ve posted below.
